If you love ethanol there is no use confusing you with facts. Simply to point out that it is not just right-wing reactionaries who think ethanol is a bad idea, I am posting links to three articles that make that point. The first is Science Magazine, second is Mother Jones, and last is Whole Earth News.

WE GET A good group of commenters here in Sticksville. Lately, we've been hearing quite a bit from a young woman from the Prairies, who has an openminded attitude toward Canadian shows, and an engaged and passionate way of defending them. On the subject of all the changes going on at the CBC, I think she's expressed the necessary corrective point of view better than Richard Stursberg, Kirstine Leyfield, or anybody else at the public broadcaster has managed to do. So I'm bumping her comment here

Oil up! Freak out! Dow up? Shut up! The state-run media in Canada (and the citizen-owned media who do their best to compete with them) all lament, daily (with intra-day lament updates, all day long), the price of a barrel of oil, and the resulting price of gas.
